What is my username and password?

If you have never logged in before you will need to register for an account.

Your username is most likely your first name seperated with a period and then your last name. For example "John.Doe"

If you do not know your login information, click on "Forget your login?" to have it emailed to you.

If you are a staff member, your username is most likely the first initial of your first name followed by your full last name. For example "jdoe"

I asked the "Forget Your Login?" utility to send me my password, but I have not received it.

Sometimes our server can not handle the number of requests for sending login information due to too much traffic. In these cases, Second Harvest Heartland staff will be happy to help you retrieve your login information.

What does the "Remember Me" checkbox do?

The remember me checkbox will keep you logged into the agency zone indefinately. It was designed to save you time so you do not have to login over and over again.

I selected the "Remember Me" checkbox, however I still need to login each time I access the site.

The "Remember Me" checkbox uses cookies to store login information. You may not have cookies enabled in your browser. This is also specific to the computer you are at.

Logging in with Username/Password vs. just a password

In version 1.0 of the agency zone we only allowed one login per agency, so only one password was required. We soon realized that many people should be allowed to submit statistics on behalf of a particular agency. Also if someone left the organization they would not have to try and track down the password, now they can just register their own account. This also allows for better accountability. Not only will you now know that your stats have been submitted, but who submitted them and when. In order to uniquely I indentify a user we need more than a password, hence the username/password combination. On top of that we have built in the ability for a user to submit on behalf of multiple agencies.

I am logged in, but I am getting the access denied page.

The login for the agency zone stores session variables for 20 minutes. If you selected the "Remember Me" checkbox upon login then your session variables are stored in cookies. Every time you visit a page you visit a new page your session renews. If you stay on a single page for longer than 20 minutes your session is expired until you login or visit another page. If you are filling ou a form (such as monthly statistics) your best option is to hit the back button on your browser and re-enter the form to renew your session variables.

How do I know if I am logged in or not?

The Short Answer: If you look in the top right part of your screen you will see welcome and then your username. If you are not logged in, it will say "Welcome Guest!". You will also be prompted to login if you are not already.

The Long Answer:  The agency zone is using an array of different tools. Some tools are integrated and some tools are not. We have tried to simplify the login process as much as possible. You will notice that to access the agency zone you do not need a password, but to do many functions on the agency zone you do. All applications have been tied into your same agency zone login, except for AgencyExpress (Online Ordering). AgencyExpress is a product that was developed outside of Second Harvest Heartland and is hosted by Aidmatrix. For this reason, your login from the agency zone is seperate. Chances are you used the same login information for both, but just keep in mind should you decide to change it, you will need to change it in both places.

I am trying to register my agency, but it is not listed.

If for some reason your agency has been given and inactive activity status or it is blocked, it will not show up as an available agencies. To find out more information about your specific case, contact agency relations.

How come I am not receiving my email confirmations?

Email confirmations are only sent to valid email addresses. We receive lots of bounce-back error messages of emails that we tried to sent and it is usually because the email address has a typo in it or does not exist. Please check registered email address in the "My Account" page.

Why can I not view the details of a calendar event?

The agency zone calendar uses JavaScript to display the details for calendar events. Be sure that you have it enabled.
