Partner Grant Program

We are excited to announce the official launch of the Second Harvest Heartland Partner Grant Program!

Current open opportunities below!

While we have offered a number of grant opportunities in recent years, this program represents the new cohesive, strategic and permanent effort to offer grants to partners.

The mission of Second Harvest Heartland’s grant program is to provide responsive grant funding that supports partner priorities, builds equity, and fosters collaboration within the hunger relief network.

Rooted in our values of equity, accessibility and responsiveness, our grantmaking program focuses on:

  • Reducing racial disparities in food insecurity

  • Ensuring access to nutritious food in local communities and schools

  • Supporting the development and growth of community-based programs and inclusive services

Why grantmaking? Because community partners need multiple resources to meet immediate hunger needs and address systemic food insecurity, our grantmaking program supports innovative work that goes beyond food in many ways. Grant funds support our partners as they launch programs that go beyond traditional hunger relief services, improve access to healthy food, and fight the stigma of reaching out for help in times of need.
